Fernando Miranda

Fernando Miranda is an SAP Senior Architect and SAP Security Manager at MHP, with nearly 20 years of experience in SAP projects. He has worked as a consultant, developer, and architect, with a particular focus on development and security, and has delivered end-to-end initiatives covering authorization design, business role engineering, governance and controls, and security programs to improve and sustain compliant access in complex SAP landscapes.

After studying Psychology and Architecture, Fernando earned a BSc in Engineering Sciences and a degree in Electronic Civil Engineering, graduating with the highest distinction for a thesis on the use of evolutionary algorithms for routing in communication networks.

In his current role, Fernando is a member of a group of SAP security experts who support security work streams for S/4HANA Cloud and hybrid SAP landscapes, combining delivery management (backlog, planning, coaching and training) with the design and implementation of authorization concepts and business roles aligned with governance and segregation-of-duties requirements. He regularly delivers training and workshops for both clients and internal teams and has also served as an official SAP instructor for development courses.

In his free time, Fernando is a non-competitive, enthusiastic freediver, and he’s on an ongoing quest to master the perfect Japanese soufflé pancakes.
